The Red Cross Library building suffered from a freeze-thaw problem. Moisture was getting in behind the cast stone and exploding the concrete. We eliminated the problem by sealing the joints before repairing the concrete. All deteriorating concrete was removed and replaced with GFRC. All joints were repaired by using custom-matched mortar. The mortar was matched on-site as different areas had different shades. GFRC is an excellent product to use in restoration because it will not cause any weight stress on old structures.
