DETAILS
Boldt Castle is an ongoing restoration project began in 1992.
The first 10 years were under our previous employer and under
GPS since 2002.
The project involves restoration of badly damaged ornate plaster
ceilings (see photos for details) and exterior architectural
terracotta with nothing to go by except broken bits and pieces.
Due to deterioration of the castle, some pieces were cloned
on-site and reproduced in our shop, using concrete and GFRC.
This project was awarded Craftsman of the Year award from APA
in 1999. |
